Costa's "Films on Tap Tour" under way Posted in
If you're an avid fly fisher... a wannabe fish bum... and you haven't seen the suite of Costa films yet, here's your chance.

Mouse Fishing - Farmington River CT Posted in
Poor mice!
Toss a big deer hair mouse on the water, make it skitter and skim and all the sudden an explosion of water.
Big browns love the dark. Get out on the Farmington after hours for your best shot at a 20-30-inch fish.

What do you get when you mix big articulated streamers, a new moon and the Farmington River?
Big browns on the prowl.

Yup, it's a stockie - but a holdover so it almost counts.
The embedded marker behind its eye told us it had been in the river for two years when it was caught.
Still trying to get my 30-incher on the Farmington!

Elk Creek PA Posted in
Out to Elk Creek in search of steelhead, this bruiser brown was a nice treat.
Coming up from Lake Erie to spawn, it had great colors and plenty of fight - we were about a 1/2 mile from the river mouth.

I'm not sure I understand what they're supposed to do. Anybody else have any opinions about them?
